Sustainability Relations Manager

About the role
This role will oversee the implementation and coordination of our supplier engagement program and be a key point of contact for our internal contract owners and suppliers in meeting Coles' environmental objectives.
You will also:
- Mentor and lead a newly created team to drive sustainability performance across our suppliers
- Drive communication between suppliers, contract owners and industry bodies
- Identify and drive opportunities for Coles suppliers to support the sustainability objectives of Coles
- Oversee the delivery of supplier engagement communication and event activities
- Be a subject matter expert in relation to Coles' supplier related environmental targets
- Oversee project reporting and budgets
About you and your skills
You will have:
- Minimum 8 years' experience working with internal stakeholders, suppliers and consultants in a corporate environment
- Project management experience of complex programs of work
- Previously experience managing direct reports
- Excellent communications and engagement skills
- Some understanding of climate change, emissions reductions and related sustainability impacts is preferred but not essential
