We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Lifestyle Officer to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing lifestyle programs that cater to residents' needs and interests. This includes coordinating and supervising daily delivery of lifestyle and therapy programs under the direction of the Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist.

You will also participate in the admission process by promoting our lifestyle programs, discussing dining options and food preferences with new residents, and assisting with settling into their room and orientation into the facility.

In this role, you will act as a resource to uphold excellence in dining principles and liaise between resident food services to ensure individualized requests are met. You will manage lifestyle programs, including intergenerational activities, bookings, and bus trips.

You will organize resident and relative meetings, coordinate volunteers, and regularly attend dining services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lifestyle programs that cater to residents' needs and interests

Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Hold a genuine interest in working with older people
  • Experience in therapy (essential)
  • Experience in aged care (desirable)
  • Experience in hospitality (desirable)
  • A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience
  • Proven experience in coordination of enjoyable lifestyle programs in aged care
  • Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance
