Job Opportunity: Lifestyle Assistant

Rosewood is a not-for-profit organisation with a wonderful culture and outstanding track record as an employer of choice.

We are seeking Casual Lifestyle Assistants to join our team at our Leederville site. The successful applicants will be responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating lifestyle activities that meet the social, spiritual, cultural and lifestyle needs of all residents.

  • Assist in planning monthly activity programs to meet residents' needs.
  • Organise and implement lifestyle/leisure programs and activities under direction from Occupational Therapists or Lifestyle Coordinators.
  • Coordinate and participate in lifestyle activities in groups or individually to ensure meaningful engagement.
  • Provide feedback on lifestyle activities based on resident and family member feedback.
  • Document and maintain lifestyle activities feedback and attendee numbers.
  • Obtain individual life histories for residents to ensure comprehensive understanding of their needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved therapy assistant course.
  • Possession of a National Police Check.
  • Up-to-date Flu and Covid-19 vaccination records.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a positive team.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

This role may involve two components:

  • Physiotherapy Assistants: assisting with mobility/falls prevention/exercise activities under Physiotherapist direction.
  • Lifestyle Coordinator: working under direction and planning from Occupational Therapists or Lifestyle Coordinators.
