Place Activation Coordinator – Curtin University

Overview

Based at Bentley Campus, Curtin University is seeking a dynamic place activation professional to join the Communications and Engagement team on a 12-month parental leave cover. The role focuses on developing and delivering events and activations to make the campus a vibrant hub of creativity and connection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver the Place Activation Strategy from idea generation through research, creative development, and project delivery, in support of the Manager, Communications and Engagement.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and external networks to maximise exposure to valuable opportunities.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams including faculty members, external consultants, and agencies to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Use data-driven insights to evaluate and improve activation programs.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of projects in a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Selection Criteria
  • Strong project management experience, ideally with a track record of delivering successful and engaging events.
  • Completion of a relevant degree and/or training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities efficiently.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to develop unique and memorable experiences.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including outside regular office hours when needed.
Role Requirements
  • Australian working rights that match the tenure of this role.
  • Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction.
