Executive Operations Director

The Director of Executive Operations is a critical member of the senior leadership team, responsible for leading a high-performing team that supports the Commissioner in discharging all regulatory and operational obligations.

  • Strategic Business Adviser: Provide senior-level strategic advice to the Commissioner, driving business growth and development through effective engagement, policy, and performance management.
  • Operational Expertise: Deliver expert operational advice on statutory responsibilities, service deliverables, and legislative change to enhance Commission performance.
  • Team Leadership: Effectively manage and lead the Commission's Operations team, overseeing operations across the organization.

The successful candidate will have experience in providing strategic organizational advice, government policy reform, and performance delivery. They will be a senior people leader with a track record in delivering results in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and managing the Commission's Operations team.
  2. Reviewing, developing, and implementing complex legislative and policy change to enhance Commission performance.
  3. Developing and managing practice systems and processes to support strategic and operational planning.
  4. Establishing and managing the Commission's performance framework and data management system.
  5. Improving policies, procedures, work practices, and management systems to enhance service standards.
  6. Leading operational management across human resources, infrastructure, workplace health, safety, and wellbeing, risk, and compliance, and information technology.
  7. Developing an effective engagement plan to educate and inform key stakeholders.
  8. Overseeing the development and management of operating budgets and financial reporting.
  9. Implementing the Commission's risk management plan and continuous improvement program.
  10. Managing corporate services and projects required to support Commission operations.

As a member of the Commission's senior leadership team, you will contribute to ongoing review of legislative and policy change, provide leadership and management of resources, and oversee the Commission's strategic and operational performance.

Applications will remain current for 12 months.
