About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement and Contracts Support Officer to join our team at Racing and Wagering Western Australia. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing value for money from contracts with vendors/third parties while ensuring alignment with our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a customer-focused contract management service, ensuring effective and efficient management of contracts that are accountable and deliver value for money.
  • Champion the operational relationship with vendors, supporting RWWA's functions as required.
  • Work with key contract managers to establish and manage vendor relationship governance, ensuring compliance with the Procurement and Contract framework.
  • Review and manage supplier compliance certificates within a systems framework.
  • Support tender administration as directed.
  • Perform contract management duties, including administrative tasks such as invoicing and scheduling vendor management meetings.
Requirements:
  • Contract management experience, with a strong understanding of procurement and contract negotiation principles.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and balance competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive mindset and healthy respect for deadlines.
  • Ability to perform data entry and update documents to a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining positive and productive relationships with multiple stakeholders in a complex organization.
  • Familiarity or prior experience with procurement and contract management software, such as the Tech One CiAnywhere Platform, is desirable.
  • Relevant knowledge of procurement and contract negotiation principles is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate, build relationships, and influence others.
  • An ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a close-knit team.
