What We're Looking For:

We seek an experienced Senior Venue Operations Manager to assist in elevating day-to-day operations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and thrive in a dynamic environment.

To Be Successful:

You will require:

  1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in Bar management or supervisor role
  2. Strong initiative and adaptability
  3. Leadership and communication skills
  4. Confidence in people management abilities
  5. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  6. Venue compliance knowledge

Responsibilities:

Overseeing General Daily Business Operations:

  • Opening and closing the venue
  • Collaborating with kitchen and front of house staff
  • Working closely with events manager on upcoming functions
  • Overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the venue
  • Staff management and team culture

Compliance:

  • Adherence to Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations
  • Venue-specific licensing conditions
  • Food safety and handling regulations
  • Running high volume high compliance evenings
  • Reviewing incident register

Wastage and Stock Control:

  • Monitoring and inputting recorded wastage
  • Ensuring bartenders are pouring correctly
  • Communicating supply requirements
  • Meeting stocktake shrinkage targets

Financial Management:

  • Monitoring and controlling wages
  • Cash reconciliation and daily reporting

Reservations/ Functions:

  • Coordinating function team and setup spaces
  • Managing bar tabs and staff briefing
  • Allocating reservations on the floor

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Monitoring and managing guest reservations and seating arrangements
  • Handling customer complaints professionally
  • Communicating feedback to the team

Workplace Health and Safety:

  • Reporting risks and maintenance issues to GM
  • Completing forms in the event of a staff or patron incident

This is a casual position with expected hours ranging from 22-30 per week.
