Job Overview

Logistics Coordinator Role

This position entails overseeing the transportation of goods, managing daily schedules for drivers, and ensuring efficient logistics processes.

  • Scanning and dispatching freight to meet customer requirements
  • Palletizing and wrapping products, as well as performing other warehouse duties
  • Preparing air and road consignment notes to facilitate smooth delivery
  • Lodging and collecting freight at terminals, including air and sea ports
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, with occasional on-site deliveries
  • Collaborating with management to adjust routes based on customer needs and preferences
  • Preparation of daily work schedules and notification of drivers regarding potential hazards on the road
  • Monitoring driver logs for errors, infractions, and adherence to working hours regulations
  • Management of export and import shipments to ensure timely arrival
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a warehousing environment
  • Proven customer service skills in fast-paced settings
  • A valid forklift license or willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience in warehousing & distribution or freight forwarding is highly valued
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong planning and organizational capabilities
  • Desirable: experience with logistics software and systems
