Job Title:

Freight Handler

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Freight Handler to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on the safe and efficient loading of freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load outgoing Linehaul freight and scan accordingly
  • Unload local PUD freight
  • Control freight including pallets, awkward/oversized cargo, and dangerous goods
  • Open and close tautliner vehicles, gates, and apply strapping
  • Ensure compliance with load restraint standards
  • Maintain accurate freight scanning and staging
  • Support general depot duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' recent experience loading Linehaul freight
  • Knowledge of Linehaul load distribution
  • Experience handling oversize and dangerous goods
  • Understanding of load restraint compliance
  • The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
