Freight and Logistics Coordinator Role

This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong passion for transport, logistics, supply chain procurement, and data analysis.

As a Freight and Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth coordination of all freight negotiations and procurement operations. You will be exposed to a wider business environment, developing your skills and expertise in transportation management.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating rates and service levels with freight providers to ensure optimal outcomes for the company.
  • Developing and executing transportation procurement strategies that meet business needs and optimize costs.
  • Managing service agreements and operational procedures with freight providers, ensuring compliance with company expectations and legal requirements.
  • Providing advice on matters relating to road, rail, or alternate domestic freight inquiries.
  • Monitoring delivery requirements to conform to company expectations.

You will also be responsible for coordinating and assisting in the administration and maintenance of records and files for efficient operations. Your analytical skills, negotiation experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Suite will be valuable assets in this role.

We are looking for a recent graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field with some experience or exposure to a logistics and freight-related environment. Knowledge of CoR and Fatigue Management, Load Restraint, and Dangerous Goods Regulatory Handling and Storage legislation would be desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
