Position Summary: Reporting to the Sales Manager - Southern, the Sales Account Manager for Construction & Utility is primarily responsible for nurturing existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with current clients and identify new business prospects through a systematic weekly outreach strategy.
- Utilize the CRM Opportunities & Activities Module to manage call plans and sales pipeline effectively.
- Capture all profitable sales within the assigned territory to meet or surpass Komatsu's national market share benchmarks.
- Regularly update the Komatsu CRM with opportunities and quotations, ensuring data accuracy and relevance, including documentation of lost sales.
- Coordinate with the Sales Manager and Operator Trainer to ensure timely and professional machine deliveries.
- Conduct analysis and provide timely reports on sales trends, competitive activities, and internal insights during sales meetings.
- Ensure the financial sustainability of the sales department through meticulous order preparation and management of the sales discount framework.
- Promote and support company initiatives aimed at enhancing profitability through cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to provide accurate forecasts for managing sales activities.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations and internal teams, guided by Komatsu's Customer Support Charter.
- Enhance product knowledge through ongoing training and successful completion of the National Construction Division Training (NCDT).
- Participate in industry field days as required.

Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated experience in sales within the Construction & Utility Equipment sector.
- Ability to convey product knowledge, including mechanical and technical specifications.
- Strong sales capabilities with a focus on maintaining a proactive outreach strategy.
- Organized and results-driven individual.
- Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Capability to implement corporate policies effectively.
