About the Role

The Finance and Administration Team Leader position at Glen Eira City Council Careers offers a unique opportunity to lead a team and oversee all financial processes. This role involves managing a small team of Administration Officers who provide support for memberships, direct debits, reconciliations, invoicing, and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and motivation to the team to deliver excellent services to staff and members.
  • System Administration: Act as the system administrator for Perfect Gym and Computron, ensuring seamless operations and compliance.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to financial and administration service, regulatory, policy, and procedural obligations.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial reports for management, providing insights into the organization's financial performance.
  • Organisational Collaboration: Collaborate with the Council's Finance Team and external financial contractors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in finance, administration, and/or similar roles, with a strong understanding of financial management.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading and managing staff, with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and current Provide First Aid Level 2 and CPR qualifications.
