National Training Director Position

As a seasoned leader, you will spearhead strategic initiatives and oversee day-to-day educational operations within our VET division. You'll lead a dedicated team of education specialists to ensure students receive an exceptional learning experience that meets industry and regulatory standards.

This role requires a strong leader who can balance big-picture planning with detailed operational oversight. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll contribute to continuous improvement, foster team collaboration, and ensure compliance with training package and RTO requirements.

We are a private RTO and Higher Education provider delivering nationally recognised qualifications in counselling, community services, and business. Our VET division plays a key role in equipping students with practical skills for real-world outcomes. About The Role
  • Strategic Direction & Leadership: Develop and implement strategic directions for educational delivery, assessment, and support services.
  • Operational Oversight & Coordination: Lead and coordinate daily operations of course delivery, marking, and student support.
  • Team Collaboration & Consistency: Chair team and assessor meetings to promote collaboration and consistency.
Course Development, Accreditation & Review
  • Course Content & Assessment Oversight: Oversee development and continuous review of course materials and assessments.
  • Compliance with Vocational Standards: Ensure compliance with vocational training standards and RTO policies.
  • Course Feedback & Improvement: Provide feedback to improve course content and delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement Documentation: Document and implement continuous improvements in training and assessment.
  • Audit Participation & Compliance Reporting: Participate in internal audits and contribute to compliance reporting.
Delivery & Assessment Excellence
  • High-Quality Delivery Assurance: Ensure high-quality delivery and assessment of vocational courses.
  • Moderation & Validation of Assessments: Monitor moderation and validation of assessments across the team.
  • Student Support & Wellbeing: Support students with complex learning needs, NYC results, or special circumstances.
  • RPL & Credit Transfer Applications: Assess RPL and Credit Transfer applications and resolve student appeals or grievances.
  • Individualised Adjustments Approval: Approve individualised adjustments for students with disabilities or learning needs.
Staff Development & HR Management
  • Recruitment, Onboarding & Supervision: Recruit, onboard, and supervise vocational education staff.
  • Training, Mentorship & Joint Assessments: Provide training and mentorship, including conducting joint assessments.
  • Staff Currency & Professional Development: Maintain staff currency and professional development in line with industry standards.
  • Performance Reviews & Development Planning: Coordinate ongoing performance reviews and development planning.
