Job Title: Executive Director

 

The role of Executive Director is a leadership position that plays a vital part in guiding the future of Christian education across Australia.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for leading the office and driving the growth of Christian schools through advocacy, professional development, leadership support, and collaborative partnerships.

This role is based in Queensland and reports directly to the ACS Board. The ideal candidate will have proven executive leadership experience in education or related sectors, as well as a track record of delivering impactful outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and direction to the office and the network of Christian schools.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including teachers, students, parents, and other educational institutions.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Represent the interests of Christian education at various levels, including government and community organizations.
  • Professional Development: Design and deliver training programs for educators and school leaders to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Required qualifications include:

  • Personal Commitment: A personal commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the organization's values and statement of belief.
  • Executive Leadership Experience: Proven executive leadership experience in education or related sectors.
  • Strategic Vision: A strong strategic vision and ability to drive change and achieve outcomes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Operational Acumen: Strong governance, financial, and operational acumen.
