Front Desk Receptionist Opportunity

At a prominent hotel on the coast, we're seeking experienced Front Desk Receptionists to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure seamless guest arrivals and departures in accordance with established procedures.
    • Effectively manage internal and external communications, responding promptly to calls and messages.
    • Provide impeccable customer service, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
    • Perform administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records and databases.
    • Assist guests with luggage and coordinate logistics as required.
    • Ensure the reception area remains clean and presentable at all times.
    • Coordinate meeting room bookings and conference facilities efficiently.
    • Develop promotional displays to showcase our offerings.
  • Customer Service Expertise:
    • Set a high standard for customer interactions, embodying the principles of excellent customer service.
    • Welcoming guests warmly, using their names to create a personalized experience.
    • Offer expert advice on local attractions, services, and events.
    • Address customer complaints and requests with empathy and promptness.
  • Promoting the Business:
    • Develop an extensive knowledge of our property's features, rates, and services.
    • Stay informed about local businesses, attractions, and events to provide value-added information to guests.
    • Actively promote our property and the hospitality industry.
    • Conduct informative tours and briefings for prospective guests.
    • Expand your knowledge of the hospitality industry and seize opportunities to promote our brand.
  • Sales and Reservation Management:
    • Gather essential client information according to sales procedures.
    • Match clients' needs with our products and services to close sales effectively.
    • Record all enquiries and follow up or forward contact details as necessary.
  • Reservation Processing:
    • Process reservations accurately and efficiently in accordance with RMS system requirements.
    • Forward daily reservation activity reports as per established protocols.

Applicants should possess strong skills in customer service, communication, sales, organizational management, task coordination, interpersonal relations, and IT proficiency in Microsoft applications.

We seek candidates with a positive attitude, excellent telephone etiquette, confidence in customer service, a friendly demeanor, maturity, a solution-focused approach to problem-solving, high standards of personal presentation, and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.

Preference will be given to applicants who can relocate to Brighton, VIC.

Minimum 5 years of front desk experience is required.
