Job Overview

We are seeking a specialist to work on high voltage power transmission lines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical engineering and protection schemes.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and developing protection schemes for HV/MV substations, transmission, and distribution networks.
  • Preparing and reviewing relay protection settings, logic diagrams, and scheme drawings in compliance with industry standards.
  • Carrying out protection coordination studies, short circuit analysis, load flow, and stability studies using industry software.
  • Developing detailed specifications for protective relays, CTs/VTs, circuit breakers, and associated control/protection panels.
  • Liaising with utilities, contractors, and equipment suppliers for protection equipment selection and configuration.
  • Preparing technical documentation including protection reports, single-line diagrams, and functional specifications.
  • Supporting SCADA and communication system integration for protection and control systems.
  • Providing technical input for tendering and project proposals.

Skill Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering and protection schemes.
  • Proficiency in protection coordination, SCADA integration, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering technologies and best practices.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites.
