About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lifestyle Assistant.

This permanent full-time role involves supporting the delivery of recreational programs for our residents to promote their psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.

You will work Monday - Friday with flexible start and finish times to suit your individual arrangements.

">

Key Responsibilities

">
  • To develop and implement engaging and inclusive recreational programs that cater to the needs of our residents, including those living with dementia.">
  • To collaborate closely with other staff members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.">
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required.">

Requirements

">
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care and/or Cert IV in Lifestyle and Leisure.">
  • Demonstrated experience working with the aged and an understanding of aged-related conditions.">
  • Experience of and a desire to work with people living with dementia.">
  • Ability to monitor and review recreational needs of aged residents to develop suitable, innovative activities and programs.">
  • Empathetic approach, enthusiasm, and patience to create positive experiences for residents.">
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other employees, including to sensitively explore resident needs or encourage resident participation.">
  • A committed team player with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.">
  • Computer literate and experienced using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.).">
