Job Title: Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator to join our team at Empire Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring department-wide WHS matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support return-to-work activities, including reviewing and developing suitable duties plans, reviewing medical certificates, and rehabilitation activities such as ergonomic assessments and organizing OT assessments.
  • Assist with organizing and conducting planning actions for whole-of-business improvement initiatives, such as WHS training and safety culture activities.
  • Assist with reporting and investigating WHS and E incidents and contractor notifiable incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency planning and response activities.
  • Coordinate the delivery of Departmental health and safety programs.
  • Provide assistance to the WHS Manager on WHS matters, including reporting and planning, coordination of WHS events, maintaining the SHE Audit schedule, and WHS Hub page.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the workers' compensation system, including legislative requirements and the responsibilities of employers and injured employees.
  • Knowledge of the rehabilitation process, including the legislated Standard of Rehabilitation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, line managers, injured employees, and others.
  • Excellent written communication and numeracy skills.
  • Deliver suitable duties plans to staff across a wide range of skill sets.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel.
