Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Help at Hand Support Services. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide person-centred support to clients with disabilities, focusing on their individual needs and goals
  • Assist clients with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Develop and implement support plans that promote clients' independence and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless support
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge


Requirements


  • Hold a Certificate III in Disability or equivalent qualification
  • Have a current Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Hold a full and clean Australian driver's license
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be flexible and willing to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
