About the Role

Help at Hand Support Services is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to individuals with disabilities, assisting with personal care, household tasks, and community activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Collaborate with other support workers, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues, using empathetic and proactive approaches to resolve issues and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • Cert III in Disability or above, or equivalent experience.
  • Current Working with Children Check and International Police Check (if applicable).
  • First Aid/CPR certificates and a current driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in working with people with disabilities and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
