We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Governance Specialist to join our accounting & finance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring taxation compliance and corporate governance for our group.

About The Role

This position offers an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented accountants with at least 3 years of experience to expand their skills and help drive the growth of the group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the timely lodgement of returns and settlement of taxes.
  • Provide insights on Australian and international taxation matters.
  • Monitor and address enquiries from regulatory bodies.

Corporate Governance:

  • Oversee our group's corporate governance obligations, including maintaining statutory records.
  • Ensure accurate filings and document all organisational changes.
  • Advise on good corporate governance practices.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicate with the team to ensure tasks are prioritised and resolved.
  • Work closely with external advisors to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of taxation and/or corporate governance experience with a Big 4 / mid-tier professional services firm in Australia is preferred.
  • A well-rounded understanding of tax obligations and/or corporate governance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
