Procurement and Financial Governance Specialist

Council's Commercial Enterprises Business Unit has an exciting new role that offers a broad range of support and systems administration in procurement and contracts. This position will help drive a focus on financial governance and operational reporting to management, ensuring continuous service improvement.

This role is part of a passionate and inclusive team responsible for the operational, financial, and business performance of Council's commercial enterprises. You will contribute to Council's commitment to creating a sustainable, resilient, and vibrant environment for our current and future communities.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the end-to-end procurement process of all goods and services and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Developing and maintaining cost control procedures
  • Maintaining accurate financial record keeping
  • Preparing operational reports to inform management decisions
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and supporting the quarterly budget review process
