The opportunity to join our team
We're looking for a Senior Manager, Data Governance Operations to lead a focused team and build our governance framework from the ground up. This is your chance to own the strategy, manage day-to-day operations, and embed a data governance culture that delivers real business value.
You'll collaborate directly with senior executives, influencing key decisions while staying hands-on with the day-to-day challenges. This role offers the opportunity to lead with impact, shape the operation of data governance, and define strategies through your expertise in managing data risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data governance specialists to deliver exceptional outcomes
- Design and implement governance operations that align with organisational strategy and regulatory requirements
- Drive a culture of data quality, integrity, and accessibility across all systems and processes
- Facilitate governance forums such as the Data Governance Working Group and Data Governance Council, building senior-level engagement and buy-in
- Partner with executives, GMs, and Heads of Function to embed governance into business decision-making
- Leverage multiple governance tools to deliver solutions that work in practice, not just on paper
What you will bring
You're a strategic operator who can tell the story of why data governance matters - and get people on board. You've worked in complex environments, know how to navigate senior stakeholders, and can balance compliance with pragmatic delivery.
You'll stand out if you have:
- Strong background in data management, governance, risk, compliance, or privacy
- Proven leadership in building and running data governance operations end-to-end
- Sharp stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, from operational teams to Board level
- Consulting or advisory experience highly regarded
- Ability to design strategies, roll them out, and see them through to measurable results
- Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra and Informatica
