Event and Venue Coordinator

The Company:
This reputable organisation is a peak body advocating for its large membership base across Australia. The company has an opportunity to welcome a new team member to its close-knit administration team in an Events and Venue Administrative position.
The Role:
In this role, you will play a vital function within the admin team, coordinating and assisting with the bookings and execution of any internal or external events as well as supporting the team on a general administration basis. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining meeting/conference rooms for internal and external parties
- Managing of meeting room calendar on behalf of the team
- Organising and liaising with catering companies, external partners and customers
- Assisting with the coordination of all events, including IT/AV setup, table/room setup, working with the event booker on their preferences
- Ensuring all meeting rooms are kept tidy and run efficiently
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise during, before or after an event
- Answering the company phone and email inbox and troubleshooting queries as required
- Maintaining office cleanliness
- Ordering of office stationery as required
The Candidate:
- Previous event/office coordination (ideally within an office environment) is ideal
- Strong and professional communication skills
- Availability to be onsite 5 days per week
- Strong organisational skills
