Support Specialist for People with Disability

About the RoleWe are seeking a Support Specialist to play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live independently. As part of our shared living team, you will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.
This is a permanent part-time position based in Terrey Hills. The successful candidate will work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, days, afternoons, weekends, and wake-over shifts. A minimum of 4 early shifts per week is required.
Key Focus Areas- Supporting clients to live independently by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
- Providing personal care and assistance with medication.
- Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through person-centred programs.
- Working with behaviour support plans using positive strategies.
- Communicating with families about client progress.
You are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to the well-being of our clients. As a positive and energetic person, you are able to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people. Experience in the Disability sector is essential.
A driver's licence and vehicle are also required.
