Job Title: HSE Investigation Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our team in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) incident investigations.

This is a permanent role that offers a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for professional development through training and leadership programs.

Your Role:

  • You will lead a team of HSE specialists who provide investigative and assurance services to the business.
  • You will conduct significant HSE investigations and ensure the quality of HSE investigations conducted across the organization meets requirements.
  • You will work closely with the HSE Learning and Assurance Manager to ensure HSE investigations are completed within required timeframes while meeting the needs of the HSE Assurance program.
  • You will lead the effective management of the organization's HSE Incident Management Framework to ensure risks identified through serious incidents are managed appropriately.

About the Job:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage HSE incident investigations to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement improvements.
  • Provide technical advice to incident owners on managing significant HSE incidents.
  • Maintain high-quality HSE investigations, adhering to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Health, Safety, Environment, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hold Lead ICAM Investigator and Lead Auditor qualifications.
  • Experience in power and distribution industries, with comprehensive knowledge of HSE management systems and investigation frameworks.
  • Expert skill in leading HSE investigations, with the ability to analyze information, identify causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and risk management methodologies.
