About the Role:
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Deliver safety training and coaching to operational teams.
  • Support incident response and emergency management processes.
  • Provide expert advice to management on best practices for workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive safety excellence across operations by leading initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for operational teams, focusing on practical applications and hands-on learning.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to respond to incidents and emergencies, providing critical support and expertise.
  5. Offer strategic advice to management on workplace safety best practices, leveraging industry insights and expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HSE advisor in construction, fabrication, or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
