National Health, Safety and Environment Leader

We are seeking an experienced professional to support safe, compliant, and high-performing operations across multiple sites in Queensland. This leadership role is designed for a safety leader who wants to broaden their leadership impact.

You will provide hands-on support, coaching, and leadership to operational teams while influencing regional strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and improve HSE policies, standards, and procedures across multiple sites.
  2. Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  3. Partner with regional leadership to deliver strategic HSE outcomes aligned with business priorities.
  4. Cultivate a proactive safety culture among frontline leaders and drive accountability.
  5. Implement HSE training, audits, and compliance assessments.
  6. Maintain alignment with federal and state regulations and industry standards.
  7. Manage health, injury management, and return-to-work programs.
  8. Represent the organization with regulatory bodies, industry forums, and community stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior HSE role, preferably in high-risk industries.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 systems.
  • Demonstrated success influencing HSE culture and driving performance improvement across multiple sites.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Accreditation in Rehabilitation and Return-to-Work Coordination.
  • Relevant security clearance or ability to obtain.
  • Commercial mindset with ambition to progress into broader operational and general management responsibilities.
