Job SummaryWe are seeking an Assistant Claims Manager to join our Adelaide team in a permanent, part-time position (4 days per week). As the Assistant Claims Manager, you will provide support and advice to our members through managing Civil and Professional Conduct claims.
Key Responsibilities- Manage member claims and investigations to support our members.
- Provide guidance, advice, and support in the indemnification of claims.
- Formulate a claims management strategy for the member to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Partner with Solicitors in the support of our members' claims as required.
- Participate in the resourcing of the medico-legal advice hotline.
- Tertiary qualifications in legal, health, or business.
- Previous demonstrated experience in insurance claims management.
- Experience as a registered nurse or allied health worker is highly regarded and training will be provided on the job to become an expert in claims management.
- A strong understanding of current health and insurance legislation.
- A strong focus on time management and work management.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Proven ability to work in an electronic document management system.
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
