About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Cafe/Restaurant Supervisor. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe and restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to guests at all times.
  • Ensure all team members maintain smooth and efficient food and beverage service within their allocated section.
  • Assign team member allocation of duties and conduct pre-service and post-service briefings.
  • Support the head of department in ensuring team members receive thorough induction and ongoing training.
  • Assist in conducting performance development appraisals and maintain par levels and order stock as required.
  • Monitor rosters and ensure the department is staffed appropriately and operating within budgetary guidelines.
  • Have an understanding of all licensing and operating legislation affecting the department.
  • Complete operational reports on a daily basis and establish workable records of the department history.
  • Ensure food items offered are of a consistent standard and provide feedback to the chef.
  • Establish and maintain open channels of communication between departments.
  • Ensure the department is consistently ready for service at scheduled operating times.
  • Perform the reconciliation of daily takings and ensure team members have strong product knowledge of menu items and wine styles.
  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures are carried out to an acceptable standard.
Requirements
  • Possession of a current RSA is essential.
  • Strong understanding of day-to-day operations of running a restaurant.
  • Passion for sequence of service and desire to create an amazing experience for every single customer.
  • Ability to be an invaluable team player and well-rounded leader.
What We Offer

Base hourly rate $27.83 equivalent to $54, $60,000 based on working days and penalties applicable as per the Hospitality Industry General Award.
