About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our hospitality venues in Tasmania. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record in multi-site management within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple venues, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  2. Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor site managers, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives.
  3. Business Growth and Profitability: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, manage costs, and increase profitability across all sites.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety, licensing, and employment laws.
  5. Culture and Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting teamwork, professional development, and high staff retention.
  6. Financial Management: Monitor and analyse financial performance, preparing regular reports for senior management.
  7. Marketing and Events: Liaise with marketing and events teams to promote venues and maximise occupancy for functions and events.
  8. Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, local businesses, and community organisations.
  9. Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers and the community to enhance the reputation of the venues.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in multi-site management.
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  3. Proven experience in driving business growth and improving financial performance.
  4. Excellent understanding of hospitality operations, including food and beverage, customer service, and event management.
  5. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
