Job Description
Salary: AU$71,460 - AU$78,326 per annum, plus 17% superannuation applies.
Job Type: Full Time, Continuing Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Animal Technician to join our team at the North Terrace Campus. The successful candidate will support the Team Leader directly and the team in delivering research support through best practice animal care. This role will involve acting as a mentor, guiding and knowledge sharing with less experienced Animal Technicians, promoting animal welfare, and providing technical skills training to staff and researchers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated understanding of the Australian code of practice for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes.
- Demonstrated commitment to animal care.
- Demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, biomedical research animal husbandry.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
