About the Opportunity

As a Senior Animal Technician at the University of Adelaide, you will play a critical role in delivering research support through best practice animal care.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for animal care, committed to progressing their career in the laboratory animal field.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a demonstrated understanding of the Australian code of practice for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes. You should have experience in biomedical research animal husbandry and be able to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery.

Salary: $71,460 - $78,326 per annum plus 17% superannuation.

Job Description

Support the team in delivering research support through best practice animal care.

Act as a mentor to guide and knowledge share with less experienced Animal Technicians.

Provide technical skills training to staff and researchers.
