We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to fill the role of Sous Chef in our busy main production kitchen located in Redfern.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the kitchen, working closely with the Executive and Head Chefs to ensure seamless food production and exceptional quality. This includes supervising staff under guidance, ensuring recipes are followed, and maintaining the highest standards of completion for tasks.

A key aspect of this role is fostering and encouraging a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, creativity, and teamwork.

Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for cooking and be willing to learn new skills and techniques in the kitchen. They must also have strong supervisory experience and excellent communication skills to effectively manage and motivate their team.

About You
  • Qualifications in Cert III Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Experience in a production kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lead and motivate a team
  • Passion for cooking and willingness to learn
