We are seeking a passionate and talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the ultimate authority in the kitchen, you will be responsible for ensuring the culinary operation meets guests' needs, while focusing on growing revenues and maximizing financial performance through an engaged team of colleagues.
About This Role- You will be hands-on in managing day-to-day Culinary operations.
- Actively lead, coach, and mentor all members of the team to ensure they are equipped to do their job, while also developing them for the future.
- Demonstrate Hyatt's purpose of caring for people to be their best at all times, while coaching heads of kitchens to embody the company values.
- Develop new menus in line with brand standards, while demonstrating a passion for trying new culinary trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure that the kitchen operation is managed strictly in accordance with food safety and occupational health & safety standards.
- Work closely with the sales and front-of-house teams to ensure customer satisfaction is always exceeded.
- Recent experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential.
- A minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.
- Proven success in leading and developing teams.
- Knowledge of the market, demonstrated flair, and creativity, with a focus on locally and ethically sourced products.
- Strong interpersonal skills used to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- The ability to drive the Culinary operation, ensuring key goals are achieved with regard to financials, guest, and colleague metrics.
