Claims and Insurance Manager Job

The role of Claims and Insurance Manager is a critical position in the organization, responsible for overseeing the allocation and processing of all claims and insurance maintenance work.

This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of performance of the claims and insurance administration team, including daily administration and finalization of claims and insurance tasks performed by onshore and offshore teams.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of the financial services industry, relevant regulators, and current and proposed regulatory and legislative requirements. They will also possess commercial oriented problem-solving skills, report writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

  • Manage teams to administer and finalize claims and insurance tasks efficiently.
  • Oversee daily administration and finalization of all claims and insurance tasks performed by onshore and offshore teams.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of customer information relevant to claim resolution.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of skills, capabilities, and experience to meet business strategies and goals.
  • Develop and improve case management standards, quality assurance, and service delivery levels.
  • Reduce work-in-progress (WIP) targets identified by Line Manager or Head of North Ops.
  • Ensure compliance obligations are met and delegations adhered to.
  • Assess and implement regulatory changes impacting claims and insurance.
  • Work closely with areas of the North business to deliver reports to regulatory bodies before deadlines.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to review/analyze claims and insurance data and process.

  • 2+ years' experience in leading teams in fast-paced environments and/or the financial services industry.
  • Sound knowledge of the financial services industry, regulators, and current regulatory requirements.
  • Commercial-oriented problem-solving skills.
  • Report writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand North functions and processes to assess best outcomes for the AMP brand and customers.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
