Job Title: Insurance and Claims Manager
Job DescriptionThe Insurance and Claims Manager role is responsible for overseeing the management of all claims and insurance operations. This includes managing a team to administer and finalise claims and insurance tasks, as well as ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of customer information relevant to claim resolution.
- Manage a team to administer and finalise claims and insurance tasks on multiple platforms
- Oversee the daily administration and finalisation of all claims and insurance tasks performed by teams
- Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of customer information relevant to claim resolution
- Lead and manage a diverse team enabling them to meet business strategies and goals
- Develop and implement case management standards, quality assurance and service delivery to stakeholders
- Manage and reduce work in progress (WIP) related to claims and insurance
- Ensure compliance obligations are met and delegations adhered to
- Assess and implement regulatory changes impacting claims and insurance
- Deliver reports to regulatory bodies as needed
- Assist external auditors to review/analyse claims and insurance data and process
This role requires a strong understanding of financial services industry, commercial problem solving, report writing, presentation and verbal communications skills. Experience in establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, implementing change effectively, and understanding business acumen is also essential.
