
Strategic Quality and Governance Specialist

MDAS seeks an experienced professional to oversee quality, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
This pivotal role ensures the organisation meets legislative, regulatory, and accreditation requirements while driving a culture of accountability, client safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor quality and governance systems and processes.
- Manage compliance and coordinate enterprise risk management activities.
- Oversee records and information governance, including responses to information requests.
- Manage the Client Incident Management System (CIMS) in line with Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing (DFFH) requirements, including timely reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
- Promote organisational learning and service excellence through strong quality and governance practices.
- Demonstrated experience in quality, compliance, governance or risk management within a complex organisation.
- Ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate with key stakeholders in a team environment.
- Proven ability to lead systems and processes that drive accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Ability to communicate, consult, liaise, and negotiate with a broad range of people, both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal, at all levels to achieve program objectives and goals.
Tertiary qualifications related to the position, such as Diploma of Quality Auditing and Business Compliance, and/or extensive relevant experience working in quality and compliance business areas.
Screening Requirements- Valid Driver's License allowing you to drive in Australia.
- Victorian Employee Working with Children Check card.
- National Police Check.
- Six weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
