The Role

We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and leading volunteer services that complement the needs of our clients and services. Your primary focus will be to match the interests of our clients, who are elderly people living in their homes, with compassionate volunteers.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 22.8 hours per week. You will need access to a car and a driver's licence, as travel throughout the region is an expectation of the role. Hybrid options are available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead volunteer services that meet the needs of our clients and services
  • Attract, recruit, and onboard volunteers, matching their interests with suitable opportunities
  • Manage and mentor volunteers, providing online and onsite face-to-face training, and coordinating social volunteer events
  • Maintain accurate records in our volunteer database and follow established processes and guidelines for Volunteer Services
  • Manage the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme
About You
  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian mission and values
  • Demonstrated experience in an administration or coordination position, with a focus on relationship building
  • Leadership skills and ability to work independently and with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and work with people at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
