About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engagement & Culture Lead to join our team at OzHarvest Food Rescue Coordinator SA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing fundraising initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners, and leading the local team in cultivating and maintaining a positive culture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Fundraising Initiatives: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure corporate partnerships, philanthropic opportunities, and community events.
  2. Corporate Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with existing corporate partners, identify new opportunities, and negotiate partnerships that benefit both parties.
  3. Community Engagement: Lead the local team in cultivating and maintaining a positive culture, ensuring that our values and purpose are lived every day.
  4. Team Leadership: Motivate and inspire the local staff and volunteers, providing a connection to purpose and the broader organization.
  5. Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate partners, volunteers, and team members.
  6. Event Planning: Plan and execute local events, including Cooking for a Cause, to engage with the community and raise awareness about food waste and food insecurity.
  7. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including grants and foundations, to support the growth of OzHarvest Food Rescue Coordinator SA.
  8. Culture and Values: Embed and promote the OzHarvest values and culture within the local team, ensuring that every team member feels valued and connected to the organization's purpose.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years in a leadership, business development, marketing, or fundraising role, with a proven track record of success in building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and community groups.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  4. Knowledge: Understanding of the ACT community and corporate landscape, with knowledge of food waste and food insecurity issues.
