Role Overview
The Program Officer will play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient functioning of the Department's program. This position will be responsible for the development, preparation, and maintenance of high-quality program documentation, including reporting and planning artifacts, briefings, decision papers, and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of events, such as program increment planning days, showcases, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including team members, business areas, and external partners.
- Provide senior-level support to the administration of program planning, including the development of program documentation and the coordination of events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program outcomes and provide support to the program team as needed.
- Contribute to the development of program strategies and plans, and provide input on program-related decisions.
Requirements
- Experience working within large-scale ICT projects or programs, using an Agile methodology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate information to a range of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and experience in managing quality assurance (writing, editing, proofreading) of high volumes of correspondence, briefs, presentations, and reports.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve program outcomes.
- Analysis and investigative skills, gathering information from a variety of sources, exploring new ideas, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and identifying any critical gaps.
- Proven ability to make sensitive and complex decisions using professional judgment within legislative parameters and delegated authority.
