Job Title: Payroll Officer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team for a 3-6 months temporary role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has great exposure across end-to-end payroll functions, with experience in high-volume environments and tier 1 payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly / monthly basis.
  2. Manage and update the everyday running of the payroll system.
  3. Entering and uploading timesheets.
  4. Uploading / Entering Weekly and Monthly payroll journals into the accounting packages across the business.
  5. Processing / lodging of Monthly Superannuation, redundancy, Income Protection etc.
  6. Staying up to date with the EBA and new legislation.
  7. Review and respond to payroll queries.
  8. Assist with monthly employee reporting.
  9. Supporting the Payroll Manager as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function; 2-5 years experience.
  • Prior work in a high-volume fast-paced environment would be beneficial i.e 400-500 employees.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance alongside award interpretation.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are preferred.
  • Prior experience in Micropay or ELMO is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.

  • 3-6 months temporary role (subject to extension).
  • Immediate start but open to someone who has short notice period.
  • $40.00 - $48.00 + Super.
