
Senior Payroll Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing on a weekly or monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities- Timely and accurate processing of payroll.
- Manage and update the payroll system to ensure smooth operation.
- Entering and uploading timesheets, and processing lodging of monthly superannuation, redundancy, income protection etc.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an end-to-end payroll function, preferably in a high-volume environment. They should also possess strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance alongside award interpretation.
Requirements- Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function; 2-5 years experience.
- Prior work in a high-volume fast-paced environment would be beneficial (i.e., 400-500 employees).
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance alongside award interpretation.
- Intermediate Excel skills are preferred.
- Prior experience in Micropay or ELMO is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Staying up to date with the EBA and new legislation.
- Review and respond to payroll queries.
- Assist with monthly employee reporting.
- Supporting the Payroll Manager as required.
