High Volume Payroll Processing Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly / monthly basis, managing and updating the everyday running of the payroll system, entering and uploading timesheets, and uploading / entering Weekly and Monthly payroll journals into the accounting packages across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll on a weekly/monthly basis in adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain the payroll system ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Enter and upload timesheets accurately and within deadlines.
- Upload and enter Weekly and Monthly payroll journals into accounting packages.
- Process/remit salaries and other employee entitlements in accordance with the Award.
- Ensure compliance with EBA and new legislation.
- Provide support and assistance as required by the Payroll Manager.
- Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function; 2-5 years experience.
- Prior work in a high-volume fast-paced environment would be beneficial i.e. 400-500 employees.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance alongside award interpretation.
- Intermediate excel skills are preferred.
- Prior experience in Micropay or ELMO is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
