Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

A seasoned professional with expertise in occupational health and safety is required to conduct thorough site audits across various locations. The primary objective is to assess how safely personnel are performing their duties on-site and ensure ongoing alignment with regulatory compliance, industry best practices, and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct periodic site audits of staff working at client sites.
- Observe and evaluate daily work practices for adherence to occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
- Identify any risks or breaches observed on-site.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve safety protocols and mitigate risk.
- Highlight effective safety practices and areas where teams are exceling.
- Prepare a comprehensive audit report following each visit, summarizing observations, recommendations, positive safety practices, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure follow-through on recommendations and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate on-site performance of personnel in relation to safety protocols.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and internal safety standards.
- Enhance operational safety through regular feedback and practical recommendations.
