Lead Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner

This role is a critical part of improving outcomes for mothers and infants through specialist clinical care, leadership, research, education, and service planning.

  • Delivering expert mental health support to mothers and infants up to 24 months, with a focus on early intervention and prevention.
  • Leading clinical practice, supporting service development, and ensuring quality care through strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Initiating and applying research to improve perinatal mental health services, including the design and implementation of innovative programs and interventions.
  • Planning and delivering education and clinical supervision for staff, with a focus on professional development and growth.
  • Guiding strategic service planning and stakeholder collaboration to drive excellence in perinatal mental health care.

The ideal candidate will have post-graduate qualifications in a clinical health field, current registration as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker, and significant experience working with parents and families with complex mental health needs. Strong clinical leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Mental Health Support:
