Expert Rehabilitation Specialist

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network provides inpatient rehabilitation services across multiple locations, aiming to bridge the gap between hospital stay and return to the community. These services bring together skilled staff from various areas to support patient care.
This Consultant role works on rehabilitation services, including wards, ambulatory programs, triage, and inreach, as well as outpatient clinics and outreach services to country SA units.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing treatments and assessments for outpatients referred to the Rehabilitation service
- Offering high-quality clinical services by providing specialist-level care to patients
- Participating in training programs for rehabilitation trainees
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous service improvement through peer review and audit activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration (Rehabilitation Medicine)
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Rehabilitation Medicine
- Experience with supervising and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
- Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in Rehabilitation Medicine
