Expert Return to Work Specialist

Our company is seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor or Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering workplace injury prevention, return to work or life and disability support solutions that enable individuals and organisations to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness
  • Support clients with chronic illness, injury or disability to achieve independence and fulfil their goals
  • Help clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications and interests
  • Perform activities of daily living assessments and recommending assistive technology under a range of contracts
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite and ergonomic assessments
  • Complete workplace modifications assessment under the National Panel of Assessors contract (requires minimum two years disability employment experience)
  • Administer standardised assessment tools
  • Be responsible for effective case management to plan, coordinate and monitor your client's progress toward their return to work or life goal
  • Engage with key stakeholders and build strong relationships to facilitate the achievement of business objectives

Requirements:
  • Professional registration with ASORC or AASW
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling and Social Work
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check upon successful application
