Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled occupational rehabilitation specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a professional background in psychology or rehabilitation counseling and be interested in working in the occupational rehabilitation sector. They will have strong communication skills, compassion, and kindness with empathy, and be able to work autonomously while being part of a close-knit team.

As an occupational rehabilitation specialist, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, while being supported by a strong team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals. You will work closely with clients, employers, and other stakeholders to provide occupational rehabilitation services that support return to health and return to work outcomes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Case management and clinical decision-making
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working collaboratively with clients, employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Conducting vocational assessments and providing recommendations for suitable job options

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology or rehabilitation counseling
  • General or provisional AHPRA registration or full ASORC membership
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion and kindness with empathy
  • Strong time management skills
