Freight Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Operations Manager to join our team at people2people, a leading recruitment group and HR solutions provider. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role in freight operations.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of freight forwarding operations. With a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar industry, you will be able to effectively manage import freight operations, collaborate with various departments, and cultivate robust relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Automate cargo consolidation processes to improve efficiency
- Oversee documentation handovers and ensure accurate processing
- Liaise with airlines for flight information and freight availability
- Process check-ins before the end of each day
- Assist the warehouse team in maintaining speedy and accurate import services
To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate:
- Strong leadership qualities
- Clear understanding of pallet sizes, weight restrictions, and knowledge of weight balancing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics Industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues
